Lab Technician

Beecher's Handmade Cheese is seeking a Lab Technician to support food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance at our Shullsburg, Wisconsin facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and consistency from raw milk intake through finished product.

What You'll Do

• Conduct routine quality checks throughout the production process.
• Collect product, ingredient, environmental, and water samples as required.
• Perform quality testing and inspections according to established procedures.
• Verify compliance with food safety, HACCP, GMP, and sanitation requirements.
• Monitor critical control points and report deviations.
• Maintain accurate quality, food safety, and regulatory records.
• Review production and sanitation documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Support product traceability and record retention requirements.
• Partner with production team to identify and resolve quality concerns.
• Verify products meet specifications for appearance, weight, packaging, and quality.

• Prior experience in food manufacturing, dairy processing, quality assurance, or laboratory environments.
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, FDA, USDA, or state dairy regulations.
• Associate's degree or coursework in Food Science, Microbiology, Dairy Science, Biology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
